A Letter to the Reader

A Letter to the Reader.
Real experience.
Careful reflection.
Better decisions.

Sometimes it changes a business.

Sometimes it changes the person making the decision.

This is where I write about both.

Why IssueNova Exists

For nearly three decades, I have worked in environments where important decisions carried real business consequences.

Throughout my career in the automotive industry, I have learned that the quality of an important decisions is often determined long before the meeting ever begins.

Whether in product development, commercial strategy, customer negotiations, or executive leadership, I kept learning the same lesson.

Better decisions rarely come from having every answer.

They come from asking better questions.

Over time, I stopped asking,

“What is the best answer?”

and began asking something different.

“What might I still be missing?”

That question changed the way I prepare, negotiate, and make decisions.

It also became the reason IssueNova exists.

Why I Write A Letter to the Reader

Experience fades faster than we expect.

Meetings end.

Projects move on.

Organizations change.

What remains are the lessons we choose to keep.

I write because experience becomes more valuable when it is examined, documented, and shared.

Not as advice.

Not as a formula.

But as an honest record of how decisions were made, what worked, and what I would do differently today.

If these reflections help someone prepare for an important decision, ask a better question, or avoid a mistake I once made, then writing them was worthwhile.

Where AI Fits

AI is part of my process, but it is never the source of my experience.

The experience is mine.

The responsibility is mine.

The decisions were mine.

AI helps me challenge assumptions, organize thoughts, and explore perspectives I might otherwise overlook.

It does not replace judgment.

It helps refine it.

That is how I choose to use AI.

That is how it will always appear throughout IssueNova.

What You Can Expect

Others examine mistakes, uncertainty, and the lessons they leave behind.

Every article is guided by three principles.

Experience first.

Reflection second.

Better decisions next.
